Back by popular demand:  River Road Holiday 2011, a totally free event.

From 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., one mile of River Road along the Susquehanna River will be open to pedestrians, cyclists, wheelchair drivers, and non-motorized vehicles of all kinds. The stretch of River Road from Lan Avon Dr. to 7th Street will be closed to car traffic, allowing individuals, families, and groups to enjoy this scenic region of the Susquehanna Valley by foot or on wheels. Limited parking will available at the Glenpool Club on River Road or in the Bucknell administrative lot on the north side of 7th St (just up from River Road and the power plant). Thank you to the East Buffalo Township Bike and Pedestrian Committee, the East Buffalo Township Supervisors, the Local Action Network, and the Bucknell Environmental Center for making this special community event possible.
