Crickfest!
This is the best local, green-leaning, good food-loving, great music, amazing location festival I know around here and it's coming up again. Get there before the food sells out -- even the potato salad and slaw is awesome.
Once again, the Penns Valley Conservation Association brings you
CRICKFEST
Mark your calendars now for CRICKFEST 2008! Once again we will celebrate the watershed with great food and music at the Coburn Park, Labor Day weekend on
Last year the terrific weather, a stellar lineup of bands, outstanding local food and lots of great activities for kids of all ages brought out a record crowd and we hope to do even better this year. All this fun and for a good cause too! All profits from CRICKFEST go towards helping to support PVCA's Environmental Education program in the Penns Valley Area School District.
The organization website is still experiencing technical difficulties, but rest assured the event is still on. I have lots of confirmations on that. Here's a notification from a local brewery about their role as a stop-gap. Free advertising in exchange for valuable information. (Scroll down for the Crickfest Music Schedule.):

In
fact we love it so much that we brewed up our first lager to benefit
PVCA.
And your good taste.
CRICK
FEST BIER

Marzën style lager beer. Traditionally brewed for the
Octoberfest
season, we offer ours for the annual Crickfest
celebration.
This malty lager is flavorful, moderate in strength
and best of all, supports
the Penns Creek watershed!!
Starting this Saturday and continuing through
the month of September,
your
local brewpub will donate $.50 for each pint and $1.00 for each growler
