Proposed closure of Joseph Priestley House in Northumberland

Your input is sought on the potential shutdown of a historic landmark.

A recent report entitled "Planning our Future: Sustainability Committee Final Report" (March 4, 2009) to the PA Historic and Museum Commission recommended discontinuing operation of the Priestley House Museum, a beloved community institution.  If you feel strongly about the potential closing of the Joseph Priestley House, it is recommended that you please write, call, email or visit area legislators (Rep. Merle Phillips and Sen. John Gordner), the PHMC Executive Director Barbara Franco, and Governor Ed Rendell to express your views.
