Energy and Green Jobs Action in the Region

Two upcoming events supporting current energy legislation in Harrisburg and on Green Jobs in Camp Hill.

The Senate Consumer Affairs Committee is holding a hearing related to the pending energy Legislation (House Bill 2200 and Special Session Bill No. 1) on Tuesday, May 13th at the Capitol.  This is an important step in Senate action on this bill.  Liz Robinson (who is part of the Keystone Energy Action Alliance) will be testifying in support of the energy efficiency elements, and I believe John Hanger is speaking also.  We are encouraging anyone with an interest to attend the hearing.  They do make note of who attends.  The meeting will be in Room 461 of the Main Capitol at 10:00 am.  We will also be trying to hold meetings with key Senators that day.  Senator Gordner is a member of this committee, so we hope to have a delegation visit his office in the afternoon.  Anyone who plans to attend and wants to be recognized as part of the EE delegation, can email me to make sure they are included.

Also, related to this energy legislation, Penn Future is holding another Green Jobs Town Meeting in Camp Hill on May 15th– at the Fredricksen Library – which could be a closer drive for some people.
