SUBJECT: PUBLIC OUTREACH MEETING ON THE COMBINED LICENSE
APPLICATION PROCESS FOR THE PROPOSED BELL BEND
NUCLEAR POWER PLANT

PURPOSE: The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff will discuss the
role that the NRC will play in the anticipated review of PPL’s application
for a combined license including details of the safety and environmental
reviews. A key topic is how and when the public may participate in NRC
processes, if so desired. The public is encouraged to ask questions about
the NRC’s review of the Bell Bend combined license application (COLA).
CATEGORY 3: * This is a Category 3 Meeting. The public is invited to participate in this
meeting by providing comments and asking questions throughout the
meeting.
